We are centrally located, easy to reach and there is a plethora of dining establishments for every palate and pocketbook. We are the place to go for new work, reimagined classics done at a consistently high artistic level. Our theatre, the Arthur Laurents Stage, has excellent sight lines and there is literally not a bad seat in the house. In short, where can you go and see Broadway-caliber theatre for the price of parking in Manhattan? George Street Playhouse is that place. HUDSON SHAKESPEARE COMPANY Florham Park, NJ www.hudsonshakespeare.org SHAKESPEARE APOCRYPHA PLAY READING SERIES: Arden of Faversham (September 20) Sir Thomas More (October 25) Mucedorus, the Prince of Valencia (November 15) PRODUCTIONS “On the Waterfront” (October 11-19) “All the Worlds A Grave” Staged Reading (October 24) We’re the longest running Shakepseare festival in both Hudson County and Bergen County. 2015 will be our 24th season of traveling plays. We do Shakespeare/classical titles, modern plays and school programs (workshops/showcases). We put interesting spins on well known Shakespeare titles such as setting the Steampunk version of “Macbeth” and do lesser done titles such as the recent “Cymbeline” set in the old west and Turkish “Pericles”. We find that the lesser done titles are just as fun and rich as the better known ones and love to bring them to the public’s attention. Finally, we’re always looking to add interesting venues to our schedule. If you have a park or unique location and are interested in Shakespeare programming, please let us know.
