This was evident when the founder of the progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, tapped Parsons to work on his third solo studio effort, The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories). “I was engineer and associate producer. I couldn’t take the production credit away from Steven; he’s a very capable producer and engineer in his own right. He brought me in because he wanted to make an album in ‘the old school way.’ Because of his age, that wasn’t an approach he previously had an opportunity to do.” Will there be more solo albums?
