that because a couple of months
later she died in a car accident.
She had some addiction issues, so
the song is basically about ‘wake
up, you can do this.’ I was trying
to coax her out of it and she was
saying if she had someone like me
in her life it would be easier, but I
just wasn’t ready for that. It wasn’t
the baggage; I wasn’t ready for
the responsibility to be that.”
“That song is basically you can
gather this, your train is leaving
at five, stop doing this shit,” said
Williamsboy. “But I had to change
the name because for some rea-
son when I was writing it her name
didn’t sound good. I was listening
to a Steve Earle song and he said
Rosalita in it. I’m like, I could prob-
ably use that name. It just sound-
ed better and it helps me to not
be so attached to it, because she
meant a lot to me.”
Williamsboy has the knack of writ-
ing songs that just sound authentic.
His stories sound real because they
largely are real. When he sings,
