SHARE BUTTON Sights and Sounds of Note by Rich and Laura Lynch This month, it’s all about new beginnings. Team SoundPress. net officially starts our first full calendar year living and working in Nashville, Tennessee. With that being the case there’s no better way to begin than with one of Music City’s most legendary and iconic performers. 1971 was a good year for Johnny Cash. He was hosting a popular weekly music-variety program, had a number of hit singles along with a Grammy Award for his and June’s version NewJerseyStage.com of “If I Was A Carpenter” that can be found on Man In Black: Live In Denmark 1971. The show was originally aired on Danish television in 1971 reflecting a pivotal time for Cash now available on audio and video. The recently released 19-track collection opens with a triple play of classics sung in that deep distinctive voice starting with the comical “A Boy Named Sue”, the reflective “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” and “I Walk The Line” all backed by a tight Tennessee Three.
