2016 ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION
EACH YEAR, the Canadian Home Builder’s Association
reports on the significant economic impact of the residential
construction industry across Canada at the national, provincial,
and community levels. The reports for the industry’s 2016
economic impacts are now available.
The 2016 fact sheets reflect estimated economic impacts of
residential activity for the past year based on Statistics Canada,
and Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation data. They
include investment, direct and indirect employment, and wages
paid.
