A “HUGE” Key to World Evangelism One of the main roles of the church—though often neglected—is to “re-parent.” God is raising up mothers and fathers in Christ for the purpose of healing the church. What often drives us into their arms is relationship with people who aggravate us, revealing our bitter roots. Wise mentors hold us accountable while loving us unconditionally and helping us to see who God created us to be. Hebrews 12:15 tells us to look carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled. acceptance, peace and unity will be evident in their family and community. As the world witnesses this heavenly phenomenon, they will indeed see Jesus! Evangelism will explode! Healing is not only intended for the individual, but necessary for the whole Body of Christ, so that HE can reach a lost world. God is passionate about many things, but His Word reveals that there are four major passions closest to His Heart: (i) He has a love for the lost and a desire to see them come to saving faith. My personal vision statement can be summed in The H. U. G. Principle: How do we address and promote the need for transformation and sanctification throughout the Body of Christ? He desires to reveal His love to, and promote those who are willing to be OPEN, HONEST and BROKEN before HIM. Will you join us in praying for the HUG principle to become reality, so that the world may know that the Father has sent the SON? Written by Robert and Kathie Fetveit. Executive Directors of Elijah House. (ii) He has a passion for Israel, because they are his chosen people. Healing [brings] Unity [which promotes/ produces] Global Evangelism (when we add the E for Evangelism to HUG, it becomes HUGE!) A healed church is the HOPE OF THE WORLD! (iii) He loves His church. He wants to see her come into healing, prosperity and radiant beauty as the Bride for His Beloved Son. When individuals are healed, love will bloom like a flower, and good fruit like forgiveness, (iv)He is passionate about a personal, intimate relationship with each one of His children. Page 17
