Lakeside Energy from Waste
Lakeside EfW, a joint venture with Grundon and Viridor, has been operational since January 2010. We don’ t just manage waste— we transform it. Every year, we convert 420,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste into clean, reliable energy, powering the equivalent to 80,000 homes and businesses across the region.
Sustainable Waste Management Low-Carbon Energy Production Zero Waste to Landfill
Our advanced technology and commitment to environmental excellence make Lakeside EfW a cornerstone of the UK’ s circular economy, taking material from the South East of the UK including some waste from Heathrow airport. All inputs are used as energy or recycled, such as ash, glass and metals.
We always looking ways to make ourselves more efficient and sustainable. For example, we have installed a 250 kW solar panel system on our roof and recently commissioned an electric vehicle( EV) supercharger hub for 10 spaces and 240kW chargers. This is one of the cheapest EV hubs in the UK.
