The Way to Lose Weight is
SLEEPING Inside You
Joy Martina, The Rapid Change Coach, tells us why we
overeat and explains how we can awaken the slim, healthy
version of ourselves – effortlessly.
W
We are far smarter and stronger than we think. We have
every skill and power within
us to lose weight effortlessly
and painlessly – for good – but
we are a society of quick-fix
lovers.
W
e have little time, are faced with
information overload, increased
pressure (workload, debts, emotional responsibilities like juggling
family life etc.) and this lifestyle
takes its toll. We are experiencing an increase of
stress-related health issues such as burn out, heart
problems and even obesity due to an unhealthy
diet, emotional eating patterns plus food addictions.
This combination makes us prone to constantly
look for quick fixes and painless “solutions”, yet
none of them offers us the real lifestyle change required to shed the extra fat for good. The result is
that the USA has become the world’s unhealthiest
nation.
The diet and food industries are multi-billion dollar
industries just like the pharmaceutical companies.
These are big companies are earning big bucks off
the laziness and lack of education of their consumers. Some might say they are serving our needs by
offering us quick solutions for common problems,
while others would argue that we are becoming
their puppets. We are buying into their miraculous
pills, hyper-palatable snacks, special diet foods

that claim to boost our metabolism and burn fat.
It’s all out there, and is even brought to our doorstep by clever marketing strategies that lure us into
believing that a processed diet product is healthier
than natural food.
Our brains are being manipulated by processed
foods, artificial additives and crafty marketing. The
result is that many of us have lost touch with our
inborn, natural intelligence. Our children are being
exposed to additives, artificial colors, flavors, high
sugar and processed industrial foods at an alarmingly early age. These kids cannot help but develop
a preferred taste for these industrial products and
turn up their noses at simple, natural foods like
fruits and vegetables. This generation of children
is more addicted, unhealthy and overweight than
any generation before. Childhood obesity numbers are sky high and if we don’t act soon, we will
lose the battle.
