Most of us no doubt are familiar with the expression, “Life is what you make of it.” It’s an
adage that offers comfort in the face of disappointment and inspiration when undertaking
new endeavors. Yet, despite the good feelings
this saying imparts, how many of us truly take
it to heart? Do we seriously believe the sentiment expressed by these words? And is the
essence of this idea even possible, or is it just
warm fuzzy New Age hype?
