CONSUMMATION This term refers generally to the state that exists when evil reaches its height; specifically to the end of a religious dispensation, which comes when there is no longer any charity or faith because the church has turned away from the Lord entirely. Note that this end is spiritual, that the church itself is unaware of it, and that it may continue as an organized body although it has come to an end as far as performing the use of a church is concerned.
