Theta Alpha International Essay Contest
The Laws of Life
All high school sophomore (15-16-year-old)
New Church girls worldwide are eligible to enter this
contest.
This essay is an opportunity to write about what
these girls think is important in life. The Laws of Life
are a set of rules, ideals or principles by which one
should live:
• What do you value most in life?
• What is important to you?
• What ideals do y ou hold deep in your heart?
Think about the people and experiences that have
helped form these laws. Pick a topic to write about:
• A personal experience/lesson learned that
affects how you live/view your life.
• An aphorism or quote that inspires or guides
you.
Entrants can use an analogy, a quotation, story or
parable (no personal or romantic relationships). Judges
will not know the names of the writers. Cash prizes
will be awarded for first, second and third places.
