except in your last letter you said he was coming to California why do they not write to me Perhaps they have and it has been miscarried I feel very anxious and uneasy about youall and would like to hear from youall Now John do write once a month to me anyhow it does me so mutch good to hear from all that I hold dear in this world and I will write to you as often as I can.
Tell Mother a many a time do I think of her when I (remember) when she yoused to tell me go where I would I would have trials and troubles to encounter as well as at home and every Sunday morning when I get up I think I can hear her Singing Welcome thou sweet day of rest that saw the Lord arise and what a
deference between me now and then of a Sunday morning hear get up cook and then go and lay in provitions for the week nothing to amuse myself with and at night am as tired as if I had been at work the most miserable time hear with is doing nothing If I am not hard at work I get home sick. But the time will soon come when we will all meet again and I hope to part no more tell Laffitte and Photion I think of them every day and can't help but wish I was ther to help them gether corn and feed this winter but it is no use I cannot come home without making something Jessie F. is keeping store in Navada in pardnership with Denton and Oberdopher. I have wrote all the news I can think of tell Mother to write to give my love to Harriet Targanni, Mother and Laffitte and Photion and a large share for yourself.
Your affectionate Brother Columbus.
