A smarter future
Networks come in many shapes and sizes, and most
will ultimately have a direct effect on data centres
through the vast amounts data they produce – not
least IoT devices. So, in this issue we'll be taking
a close look at smart buildings and cities with
insightful articles written by Richard Jeffares, CTO
at Glide Group and Graeme Ross, UK & EMEA Sales

As well as all the usual technical and opinion
pieces we have this month, we've also included an
extremely interesting article on 5G networks that
bucks the current trend of singing the praises of this
new technology. Nick Sacke, Head of Products and
IoT at Comms365 suggests that 5G is too little too
soon, and that 4G remains as important as ever.
