Shortly after the last issue of Netcomms
Europe had gone to press, Data
Centre Summit North opened its
doors at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.
Organised by DataCentre Events,
a joint venture between Netcomms
Europe publisher, LGN Media, and
DataCentreHub, the eagerly anticipated
event was billed as an exclusive one day
event for the data centre industry.
By 10am the exhibition hall was
packed with delegates all making the
most of their day. Alan Beresford of
Eco Cooling kicked off an impressive
seminar line up, which also featured
speakers from major blue chip
organisations, such as British Gas and
industry leader Dimension Data. Jamie
Oliver’s catering partnership, Fabulous
Fan Fare, was at hand to deliver an
incredible selection of food, including
mid-morning fruit smoothies and a
spread of firm favourites at lunchtime.
“We couldn’t have asked for a
better first event,” commented Event
Director, Ian Titchener. “The seminar
sessions were all well attended and I
had conversations with several delegates
who felt the concept of a one-day
regional event delivered great value. We
have already had a large number of
exhibitors re-book for the London event
in February and I’m looking forward
to surprising delegates with another
quality seminar line up.” Christian
Wray of Sudlows added, “Data Centre
Summit North ticked all the right boxes
for a focused one-day conference. It
was a great forum for Sudlows to meet
with data centre operators and owners
from across the region. Professionally
run and well managed by the team at
DataCentre Events, this will surely be a
key event next year.”
The London event will open its doors
on the 10th of February 2016 at The
Barbican Exhibition Centre in Central
London. Industry leading exhibitors
Cannon Technologies, Mayflex, Riello
UPS, Stulz and Mafi-Mushkila will all
be in attendance alongside Platinum
event sponsor, Schneider Electric.
