IDEAL Networks forms distribution
agreement with Mayflex
IDEAL Networks has formed an agreement with Mayflex, the distributor of
Converged IP Solutions, to distribute several products from its cable certification
and security portfolio.
IDEAL Networks provides solutions for testing and documenting data cable,
networks and more. Mayflex will be placing an emphasis on the IDEAL Networks
range of security testers including the newly launched SecuriTEST IP.
SecuriTEST IP is an all-in-one CCTV tester that can connect, power, configure
and document which helps to increase productivity from start to finish. SecuriTEST
IP combines the functionally of a video monitor, cable tester, PoE injector and
laptop in one device reducing equipment investment.
“The IDEAL Networks range of testers, including the new SecuriTEST IP,
help installers to overcome challenges and improve profitability,” said Tim
Widdershoven, Global Marketing Manager for IDEAL Networks. “We are confident
that our collaboration with Mayflex will help more technicians to install,
test, troubleshoot and document CCTV camera systems, networks and cable
effectively.”
Jason Rudge, Commercial Procurement Director at Mayflex commented, “I
am delighted to welcome IDEAL Networks on board. It’s range of testers will
introduce exciting new opportunities to Mayflex with both our existing and
potential new customer base.” He continued, “The range of products from IDEAL
Networks fits perfectly into both our Infrastructure and IP Security portfolios and
offers our customers further choice in terms of which brand and products are right
for them.’ n

The magazine for network and data centre professionals
Colt Data Centre Services has pledged its
support to Tech She Can, an industry charter
launched to encourage inclusivity and
increase the number of women working in the
technology industry.
The partnership aims to challenge
stereotypes in the technology industry and
encourage more women to get involved in
the sector. Demand for data centre capacity
is growing, and with this comes the need for
talented individuals of equal gender to join
the field.
According to research conducted by PwC
into Women in Tech, over a quarter of female
students have been put off a career in
technology as it is too male-dominated, with
only 3% of female respondents saying it’s
their first choice. This is evident in the fact
that 23% of STEM roles are held by women,
and scantly 15% of STEM management roles
are occupied by women.
Colt DCS will join forces with other leading
industry organisations on the Tech She
Can Charter to inspire more women to get
involved in technology careers. It will also
showcase female mentors in the industry to
encourage empowerment amongst peers, as
well as demonstrate the wide range of future
career possibilities for young women.
“The data centre industry is thriving, and
we need new talent who can bring a variety of
skills, experiences and background to support
our business growth. One of the key barriers
to getting more women into the STEM careers
is down to the lack of information of what
working in the sector entails, as well as the
opportunity and encouragement for these
individuals to thrive,” said Limor Brunner, Vice
President of HR, Colt Data Centre Services. n
