NEWS IN BRIEF
Sign-up now for the BICSI UK & Ireland
Conference and Exhibition on 14 June 2017
This year’s BICSI UK & Ireland Conference and
Exhibition is set to take place at the Barbican Centre
in Central London on 14 June. This year’s event will
feature a stellar line-up of industry thought leaders
who will be delivering impactful seminars on subjects
that deeply affect delegates’ day-to-day jobs.
The seminar session will open with a BICSI Global
address from President Brian Ensign, who will be
attending the conference alongside Global Business
Development Director Paul Weintraub.
The first presentation will feature Nancy De Clerck,
Product Manager and CPR co-ordinator at Nexans
Cabling Solutions. Nancy will deliver a presentation
entitled Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and
BS 6701: what you need to know. Other presenters
include Christian Schillab of Fluke Networks, Adrian
Newsome of Schneider Electric and David Cuthbertson
of Square Mile Systems.
“The BICSI UK & Ireland District Conference &
Exhibition features something for everyone in the field
of information and communications technology,” said
BICSI President Brian Ensign, RCDD, NTS, OSP, RTPM,
CSI. “With five technical presentations touching on
topics like construction products regulation, data
centre infrastructure and high-density modular cabling,
as well as a round table discussion, there is plenty to
learn and talk about with fellow delegates. Combine
that with exhibitors showing off their latest products
and services, and you have the makings of a must-
attend BICSI event!”
Barry Shambrook BICSI UK & Ireland Chairperson
commented: “As chair of the BICSI UK & Ireland
District, I am looking forward to welcoming members
and other delegates, sponsors and exhibitors to the
5th annual one day BICSI UK& Ireland conference.
The conference attendance has increased every year
as word gets around of the quality of presentations.
We aim to make the day a valuable insight into latest
technology and concepts. This year we have five
fascinating presentations, followed by an expert panel
discussion on cloud services, with an opportunity for
the audience to vote on whether this will mean the
death of the enterprise data centre. For anyone in the
data centre or physical network infrastructure industry
who want to catch up on latest trends and are not yet
registered to attend, I strongly recommend you do so
without delay. Places are limited!”
