34 XXX XXX DATA CENTRE SUMMIT REVIEW Learn, be inspired, connect and deliver… DATA CENTRE SUMMIT 2016 SOUTH By Ray Smyth That’s what visitors to the first one-day regional Data Centre Summit at London’s Barbican were offered. Data centre professionals are not short of options when building the data centre facilities that their business requires. But understanding the options, the choices on offer and finding the time to assess potential suppliers is a significant challenge in a pressured, time-poor world. With this in mind Data Centre Summit South opened its doors for the first time in London’s Barbican Exhibition Centre on the 10th of February 2016. This new regional one-day event had been hotly anticipated, billed as London’s very first oneday data centre conference and exhibition. Visitors were able to select the seminars of interest to them and easily move between exhibitors and either of the seminar tracks. Seminars were well attended and delegates interacted with presenters during and after presentations to get into detail. The seminar sessions were kicked off at 10 am in Track 1 by Aaron Whitehouse, Chief Commercial Officer at Vorboss standing in for Tim Creswick, who delivered a presentation entitled ‘Challenging www.networkseuropemagazine.com
