Lite Linke looks to grow
international footprint
Leading fibre optic specialist
Leader Optec is on the lookout for
new distribution partners for its
premium Lite Linke products. The
company already has partnerships
in place covering the Netherlands,
France and the Middle East with
Datop, 0.3dB Fibre Optique and
TierX respectively.
Now the North Wales-headquartered business wants to increase its
international footprint to cover other parts of the world. Among the key
territories being targeted by Leader Optec are Germany, Scandinavia and
Southern Europe.
The Lite Linke suite of products utilises best-in-class components, bespoke
design and UK manufacturing to meet the challenges facing networks. All of
the MTP connectivity, containment and cabling solutions are manufactured
from Leader Optec’s headquarters in St Asaph. Products include cassettes
and chassis as well as assemblies and accessories.
Paul Desmond, Managing Director of Leader Optec, said: “We have
successfully launched Lite Linke during the second half of 2017 and the
feedback we have received from the market has been extremely positive.
We have put in place a number of distribution agreements but in 2018 we
want to increase the global reach of the Lite Linke product set.” He added.

challenges they face today and tomorrow. Data centres that are adopting
our technologies are successfully condensing and future-proofing their

e-shelter opens new
wing at Europe’s
largest data centre
e-shelter has opened the eighth building ‘H’ on
its Frankfurt 1 Data Center campus, adding 7,100
square meters of new data centre technical space
to Europe’s largest data centre campus, with an
investment of EUR 100 million. e-shelter currently
operates across ten locations in the DACH region
and a data centre area of around 90,000 square
meters. With this expansion of the Frankfurt 1 Data
Centre campus, e-shelter has further underlined its
position as a leading provider of colocation services
as well as the central cloud marketplace in Europe.
“This is where the future of the German economy
is happening,” said Rupprecht Rittweger, CEO and
founder of e-shelter. “In 2017, e-shelter has invested
a total of EUR 250 million and we plan to build,
operate and secure further data centres all over
Europe – but we always keep an eye on the big

With a highly secure and energy efficient design,
building H of the Frankfurt 1 Data Center is 18,000
square meters in total and was completed after just
nine months of construction. n
