POLESTAR PILATES
A Pilates practice with a science-based, holistic
approach to health has a big vision to improve
global wellness.
olestar Pilates is a science-based, holistic approach to
health that recognises each person physically,
psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. It proudly
declares its mission to reduce disease, enhance vitality and increase
the critical mass of healthy, peaceful people in the world.
Founder Dr Brent Anderson expanded on the traditional Pilates
Method by integrating manual skills and advanced body awareness,
informed by the latest scientific research in orthopaedics, sports
medicine and movement science. Backed by a reputable industry
body, it’s also government accredited.
Produced in collaboration with influential and respected
Pilates educators across the US, UK and Australia, the Polestar
curriculum encompasses interactive lectures, practical teaching
labs, troubleshooting (with case studies and deductive reasoning),
practice hours (individually and in groups), analytical skills, and
principles of NLP. Polestar also has a national network of mentors to
guide students through certification and student training.
Polestar Pilates Accreditation is recognised in 40 countries,
meaning that, after completing the 450-hour teacher training, Polestar
graduates are equipped to join over 6,000 fellow Polestar instructors
working at medical facilities, performing arts conservatories, and
fitness centres worldwide.
The Cert IV in Polestar Pilates Matwork Instruction Method
(10520NAT) can take up to 12 months to complete, and introduces
the Pilates principles, program design, exercise sequencing and
techniques, and ultimately prepares students to teach group Mat
classes.
If you want to teach full-time and work with private clients across
all apparatus in a studio setting, however, the Diploma of Polestar
Pilates Studio and Rehabilitation Method (10521NAT) is the way
to go. The highest standard for Pilates accreditation, this in-depth
course can take over a year to complete, allowing students to
deepen their knowledge of the principals and become proficient on
all Pilates equipment, from Reformer to small props. Graduates walk
away with the skills and confidence to teach clients of all levels, from
rehab to high performance athletes.
