Excel develops Environ range
with Colo racks
Excel Networking Solutions has launched a new Environ floor standing rack into its existing
portfolio of networking racks and open frames, says product manager Neil Payne.

ased on the proven
and popular ER series
chassis, Excel’s
CL series of multi-
compartment floor
standing racks are available
in 42U or 47U heights, 600mm
or 800mm wide, grey, white or
black and a choice of two or four
compartments. With this flexibility
and with each compartment being
created by the use of a full depth
dividing panel, the CL Series racks
have been designed specifically
with colocation installations and
applications that require enhanced
levels of access security in mind.
As such, these racks are intended
for use by facilities where rack
space is being used by different
enterprise departments or clients
within a shared facility, such as
data centres.

Similar to the existing rack
portfolio, the CL Series are
compatible with the full range of
Environ locking solutions, enabling
customers to choose from digital
key code, proximity card or
biometric locking configurations.
As with all Environ cabinets, racks
and open frames, the Colocation
Series is driven by simplicity,
performance and flexibility.
The racks are specifically
designed with enhanced security
in mind, with entry to the vertical
cable management boxes
separated from one compartment
to another. What’s more, the racks
come with unique keys for all doors
and side panels as standard, and
entry to each compartment is
restricted to these access zones
only to ensure complete protection
of infrastructure.
The CL Series racks feature
in the n ew Environ catalogue and
the Excel website. Tracey Calcutt,
Excel’s marketing manager, added,
‘The CL Series is a fantastic
addition to the Environ range
of networking racks and open
frames. The Environ catalogue
has been designed to provide
information at the part number
level – we’ve included a useful
product selector so you can see
at a glance which rack is best for
your requirement and there are
plenty of close up photographs to
see the features of each range.’
The CL racks are listed on
the website, however, they will
be available to purchase from
September 2017.
