The Advisory Board has continued to be a crucial driving force behind the successes of the Global Judicial Integrity Network .
As announced at the High-Level Meeting in Doha , the composition of the Advisory Board was strengthened by the addition of two new members — Hon . Vanessa Ruiz , Judge of the Court of Appeals of the District of Columbia of the United States and the President of the International Association of Women Judges , and Hon . Mathilda Twomey , former Chief Justice and current Justice of the Supreme Court of Seychelles .
The Advisory Board met in Doha after the High-Level Meeting for a planning exercise and strategic discussion regarding the next two years , taking into consideration the recommendations made by Meeting participants . That discussion formed the basis for the development of the 2020-2021 workplan of the Network ( see the following page for more information ).
In 2020 , and despite the challenges caused by the pandemic , the Advisory Board members have continued to play an invaluable ambassadorial role for the Network , including encouraging judiciaries and judges to benefit from the Network ’ s work ; exploring and creating new partnerships and synergies ; and presenting the Network in online meetings and workshops worldwide .
The Advisory Board met for the second time virtually in December 2020 to assess the progress made in the implementation of the workplan and discuss the activities of the Network in 2021 .
UNODC would like to express its sincere gratitude to all Advisory Board members for their guidance and tireless efforts to identify judiciaries ’ needs and actively promote the Global Judicial Integrity Network .
