Team Tested: zero resistance throttle

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, there’s no way you haven’t heard all the buzz about a new company called ZR-THROTTLE. It seems as though every magazine and social media flyer has that new ZRT logo plastered all over it. Most are probably wondering who this new company is, and what all this hype is about! Luckily for you, our Parts Department has single-handedly done ALL the research you’ll need to know!

When we initially found out the throttle tubes are designed with not only one bearing on the outside end of the handlebar, but also another on the inside end, we became very intrigued. This throttle tube does not actually ride on the handlebar, but only on the bearings themselves. Eliminating all possible drag, we found out very quickly how smooth this throttle tube actually is. With no throttle cable attached, a slight twist of the tube and it seemingly spins forever!

Handmade in nearby Bellingham Mass., the Zero Resistance Throttle tube is composed of aircraft-grade 6061 Aluminum, by one of our very own NETRA members, TOM ERDMANN. You will never worry about crushing a throttle tube during a crash ever again. With two different style ends (bark-buster and moto), the end of the throttle tube is heavily pro-tected. The two radial ball bearings used to support this tube are made up of stainless steel, thus adding that much more reinforcement during a crash.
