This month's update will be more admin-
istrative in nature so bear with me. As you've
heard me say many times: You Are NETRA. We
all have a voice in the direction of this awesome
organization. But we also all have a responsibility to keep it moving forward in an organized way...especially if you're a trail boss (thank you), a club official, on the Comp. Committee, or on the Board of Directors.
Here's are some important updates for the 2018 season:
Cole Beach Photography will be our official photographer for this season. Cole's got lots of experience shooting motocross but this will be his first venture into off-road. He'll be at many but not all of our events. If you're running one of our first few hare scrambles, enduros, or Saturday events, say hello to Cole and help him understand how our events work and where the good shots are to be found! He'll be posting cool shots for sale on line within a few days of the events that he attends. Remember: Buy 'em, Don't Steal 'em!
We are doubling down on MotoTally. This year we are adding vintage, peewee, and junior enduros to the events that will be scored with MotoTally. All events still need to have the club perform back-up scoring duties as we have always done. Please be sure to assign smart, reliable people to these tasks at your events. Nothing makes our riders madder than scoring screw-ups.
Speaking of kids events, we have a new format for junior enduros this year. If you are putting one on, be sure to get in touch with our Youth Coordinator, Han Neff, well in advance so he can give you important tips on course and event layout. The way in which these events will be scored are different than in the past and the use of MotoTally requires some specific arrangements.
