CONGRATULATIONS & WELCOME!
Congratulations on gaining a place in the Netball Dorset Development Satellite Academy! There are just over 100 athletes in Dorset, all working hard to improve themselves as netballers, striving towards the dream of one day playing for England and becoming a World Champion. You have shown selectors and Coaches that you might just have the attributes and ambition to make it to the top, so well done...but now, the hard work begins! Better never stops!
Your Academy should provide you with the perfect environment to learn and train alongside other like-minded players, with an experienced and committed Coach guiding you. The Coaching Teams have helped to set the training programmes that will be delivered to you in your Academy and this will support you with developing the right skills to move up the Pathway. But, it's not just the training you do in your Academy that's important. To become a World Champion, you have to train like one...whether your Coach is watching you or not! So, make sure you complete your skill and movement programmes regularly, integrate your S&C programme into your everyday life and train with the same intensity you would play with in the final of a World Championships.
We need success at each level, starting with you, to create a collective belief that we are good enough to be crowned World Champions and be number 1 in the World. If you commit yourself to your training, seek out and take up every opportunity that is on offer and push yourself to the maximum, who knows, one day we might get to see you on TV!
