A QUINTESSENTIAL NARRAGANSETT PIER HOME became a palette for Blakely Interior Design to liven and showcase the personalities of its lovely homeowners .
With a bright neutral interior and an abundance of windows , a space like this was just begging for an energized new design . The project sought to bring new life and visual interest to the home through a refresh of the entire first level : the living room , eating nook , den , master suite , powder room , dining room and parts of the kitchen . Blakely Interior Design dreamt up a scheme that was tailored yet approachable , introducing unexpected colors and patterns , accented with natural elements like rattan , cane and grasscloth .
The home sits in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach in Narragansett Pier , a dream forever home for the couple . They moved into the house once their two daughters left for college , and now after living there for many years , they sought a refreshed interior that reflects their bright , unique style . The house already had great bones : high ceilings , good flow , and plenty of natural light , so no major renovations were necessary . All that was missing was a bit of character and charm ; a fun and sophisticated look was at the top of their wish list . Their vision aligned with Blakely ’ s distinct vibrant style , and they embraced and trusted the team to incorporate their tastes through subtle coastal color , interesting patterns and new furnishings .
The couple often hosts their children , grandchildren , family and friends , and what better way to welcome them in than with a patterned navy staircase runner , a trio of bright floral art and a lime-green entry table ?
