OMETIMES , MORE IS MORE .
After two major phases of renovation on the first floor and the exterior which addressed their most pressing needs , the Calore family tackled their big audacious dream to impress their guests with an elaborate space for soirees . Thankfully , the East Greenwich property had just enough space to expand and accommodate the clients ’ needs . The family has grown to love the design and craftmanship of Red House Design Build through past projects , and they returned for an estate-worthy rear extension and landscape renovation that would be the talk of the party . The final phase in this master plan renovation included a 564-square-foot addition with a gabled roof , luxury hotel-worthy bar , cathedral ceilings and a fresh outdoor dining area .
The Calores are no strangers to guests , being principal hosts to friends and family for larger holiday , dinner and cocktail parties throughout the year . They bought the home in 2018 with two things in mind : exceptional entertainment and a multiyear working relationship with Red House for master planning , design and phased implementation . They required more space for entertaining , so they reached out to Red House once again to build the grand addition for indoor / outdoor gatherings . Being the fourth major project to this home — the second home the family has remodeled with Red House — the Calores knew exactly what to expect . From the phase one design meetings to discuss concepts and programming , to weekly site meetings to see the vision come to life , a detailed timeline was created to map out the entire project from beginning to end . “ Having a fully integrated team working in collaboration with one another is a critical aspect as to why we have used Red House over and over again ,” says Aili Calore .
Upon entering the space , guests transition from beautiful hardwood flooring in the main house to the same classic black-and-white checkered stone-look floor tile as in the entry foyer , a nod to the European estate aesthetic . As you enter the main foyer , the echo of the tile flooring is used as a sightline that draws you to
