FROM THE DESIGNER : “ Despite their waterfront location , the homeowners didn ’ t want decor that screamed ‘ coastal ,’ so we nodded to it with many elements . The family wanted to be able to gather in the kitchen , so a big island was a must ! We agreed on this deep green island and bar , neutralized it with a soft white perimeter and then added the amazing warm countertop in the kitchen and a contrasted leathered top in the bar area . This was a really fun project with a lovely client . It doesn ’ t get much better than when you love your work and get to do it for nice people !”
