Upstairs , the master bedroom nods to the coastal theme in a subtle way . A soft green and blue modern botanical wallpaper accents the neutral furnishings and crisp white bedding , while pillows , window treatments and accessories add an additional splash of color . “ We wanted to take a serene , spa-like approach to the color palette to make the master bedroom the ultimate place to relax and unwind ,” Blakely Photopoulos says .
Each ensuite bathroom in the home carries the bedroom design concept into the space for a cohesive look . In this guest bathroom , the various styles of tile is the main focal point ; white subway tile is contrasted with navy blue penny rounds to create a cabana stripe look in the shower . “ I fell in love with the main flooring first , which ended up being the main inspiration for the shower tile ,” Blakely Photopoulos says of the hexagonal floor tile .
While the state has a large seasonal renter demographic , Blakely wanted to create a home for a permanent place where the clients could enjoy the ocean blues year-round .
“ We were hired to completely transform the space , and in collaboration with Lawrence Builders , we created a home for a permanent stay ,” Blakely Photopoulos says .
Due to the pandemic and delayed materials , the clients ’ long-awaited home is ready for the rest of their lives . ◆
