to help homeowners imagine the finished result . The Kitchen Views experienced team makes it come together beautifully .
This family with a young child wanted a bright , fresh , streamlined kitchen with classic New England tones , incorporating the blues and grays of the ocean . Hardwood flooring adds warmth to the color palette as it flows through the open concept main living area , and traditional millwork details provide the finishing touches . A cohesive whole house style was also a must-have . They needed the main living area to be a space to cook , entertain and work from home .
Robillard took the family ’ s needs and wants into consideration when designing a functional , wellorganized work-live space with an open floorplan . The coffee nook next to the airy windows was a must-have for the morning routine .
To keep the long wall of cabinets from looking monotonous , she visually interspersed them with color and texture plus pro-style appliances . Other areas of the home with cabinetry and countertops needed to feel cohesive , yet each area need to have its own personality .
The design carried throughout the entire home , the color palette flowing into each room — whites and blues for the kitchen , black and white for the children ’ s bathroom , gray for the master bathroom , blue in the laundry room — but kept the same shaker door style and quartz countertops throughout .
Robillard relied heavily on the 3-D modeling technology to show the clients a virtual look at their design prior to signing off . This offers peace of mind being able to “ see ” their layout for those who can get a better idea when seeing a visual product . The homeowners are thrilled with their new home that fulfills all they dreamed it would be . ◆
