The process is as simple as placing your order over the phone , in an email or through their website and paying via account or credit card . Arnold Lumber then texts when your order is ready and loads it in a designated area to be picked up .
While the system has changed considerably since Carold “ Kit ” Arnold first established his West Kingston lumber shed in 1952 and allowed customers to pick out their wood and leave a note recording what they owed , the mutual trust remains the same . Locals rely on the company to provide not only high-quality lumber , but also masonry supplies , custom doors , millwork and top-of-the-line national brands for their kitchen and bath projects ( think the likes of Unilock , Andersen and Waypoint ).
