With the client hosting friends and family throughout the seasons, large gathering spaces and intimate getaways were needed. The client loves to cook while entertaining, so we kept the cooking, gathering and indoor / outdoor spaces visually connected but separate, creating intimate moments that are a part of the whole. By keeping the bedrooms upstairs but connected with a light-filled staircase, people can retreat to their own oasis and recharge.
