"Nesibe Aydın Schools Down to Earth Team gave an enthusiastic
concert in order to tell about Down Syndrome beginning from their
schools to community and raise awareness within the scope of the project
that is carried out with ‘Organization for Trainable Mental Disability with
Down Syndrome and the Protection of Their Families’
Nesibe Aydın Primary School Team, Down to Earth, who competed for
social problem solving (one of the sections in FPSPI (Future Problem
Solving Program) held in the USA, specified down syndrome as a social
problem this year.
They had the chance to make music and sing with the people with down
syndrome and they realized they have something in common with them.
They showed their parents, friends and teachers that down syndrome is not
an illness, but a genetic difference. Even if we can have different languages,
different point of views or genetics, we can still enjoy or feel sad with the
same music.
