We

hosted Aytül Akal, who is a popular author of children's literature, at
Nesibe Aydın School as a part of our author event. We talked about her
writing adventure which she defines as a passion that she cannot give up.
Our original starting point was “that moment” when she said, “I spent my
years searching about what to write. At that moment, I realized I had found
it. ”Then she started to tell the story as if she was living in that moment
again. It seemed like she re-confirmed her decision. We learned much more
from her. One of our friends asked, “why did you choose writing in the first
place?” She was also asked about her most pleasurable book When we came
to the table that was waiting for her. There was a long queue. Our students
waited for their turn to have their books autographed. The children chose to
have the autograph written on behalf of themselves, their siblings or friends.
We had teachers who were there to get an autograph for their children or
grandchildren as well.
