Express make-over for community centre

-Norfolk

A team of young volunteers worked with BBC Radio Norfolk and Norwich City Council as part of the CSV project Agents For Change. The project aims to encourage young people aged 16-25 to volunteer in their community.

"The idea is to get young people to experience volunteering and for them to discover that it can be fun to help the local community," said project manager Janette Cooke.

"It gives them the opportunity to learn new skills, about team-working and the opportunity to meet to new people. It also looks good on a CV as experience tells us that employers are always interested in people's community and volunteering work," she added.

The volunteers picked up their brushes and paint rollers on Wednesday, 2 April. The team included a number of students from the University Of East Anglia who decided to take a day out of their Easter break to help.
