The College Process

NEFC Coaches have experience at all levels of the college game. Collectively we have decades of experience with college soccer and understanding the recruiting process. NEFC coaches prioritize the importance of academics for our players and assist our players and families navigate the college soccer recruiting process.

Boy's Director Ed Kelly and Girl's Director Chris Hamblin and the NEFC coaching staff have helped NEFC players play at all levels of the college game. NEFC's college programing challenges players and parents to think about the unpredictable variables surrounding the recruiting process, and clarifies many of the questions players and parents experience.

Our goal is not to get you to the best soccer program, but to find the school that is the best fit for your academic, athletic and social expectations. Our teams will attend appropriate showcase events to provide opportunity for college evaluation and we aim to provide our NEFC coaches with the support and resources necessary to help NEFC players realize their academic and soccer potential.

We ask our coaches to be very clear with players regarding their athletic expectations and college potential. Our staff can call upon NEFC's extensive network of college connections to help players get on the radar of college coaches and earn the opportunity to be evaluated.

In January NEFC hosts a College Soccer Recruiting Seminar for U14-U18 players. NEFC also provides email/resume templates and and an online knowledge base for our players.
