I have chosen to have the event held at Somerset House, this was London Fashion Weeks location in 2014 and 2015. I chose to have it held here because of the big space it provides and also the luxurious feel it gives off.
By using the space I will be having an exhibition in the day, the exhibition will be placed on mannequins at the front of the building, with lights shining onto the clothing, showcasing the embellishments and power of red from the clothing and trainers, this is where the main collection will be placed. The other collections will be inside on authentic rails with the custom made hangers.
In the evening, a catwalk will be going on, beginning in the Somerset House where people will be seated on different levels of floors watching the catwalk, it will continue outside for more VIP guests and to the public. It is more personal indoors because the viewers are closer to the clothing and they are able to take more in, although outside the lighting and fountains bring a positive and active vibe, also the feeling of romance and love in the air especially with Valentines day commencing.
Having events that focus on the garments will encourage people to come along to the store and purchase items or even order them online to their house or in store. At the end of the event, there will be celebrations of confetti to complete a progressive day and a fun outing for the VIP guests and other public members.
