How many people have you heard say, I cannot wait until it’s the weekend? Be
honest, are you anxiously waiting for something in your life to occur that you rush
your time away?
If we take a moment to think about all that God is doing right now, we’ll certainly
have a better understanding as to what God can and will do in the year ahead.
Truthfully, I found myself focused more on things in the future that my full attention
to my "right now" was overshadowed. I was merely disregarding and discrediting
everything that God was doing or wanted to do. All the while I was missing the
most intricate details necessary for me to grow through my experiences. I was far
too anxious for my good! I was not embracing my right now! I was cheating myself
out of life frills and thrills. I focused on what I wished to see and not what was in
front of me at that moment!
Things have changed, and I don’t take anything for granted. I refuse to miss what
God has for me by rushing every second, minute, or hour. We should savor God’s
grace and mercy for He allowed us to be among the land of the living. In doing
such, we have to appreciate the journey within. It’s essential that we recognize our
right now because our right now will soon become our yesterday!
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus.-(Philippians 4:6-7)
