In 2003, Skully Mac faced a dilemma that many other artists have encountered. He wanted to record his band but was restricted by limited means. He decided that the best way to accomplish his goal was to learn how to record himself. He began gathering recording equipment as it became available. He also acquired and learned the necessary computer programs to make it happen. Those early recordings left something to be desired but as time progressed he began to hone in on his skills and developed an ear for good sound quality. Over the past decade, in his Durham North Carolina studio, he has worked with such bands as Dead To Society, Raw Dog and Simple Assault. He’ll be the first to admit that his operation is ”low tech” and “DIY” but his recordings are on a high level. He’s willing to work with bands with a professional attitude and work ethic at a very reasonable price. You can find BullChip Records on Facebook as well as You Tube.
