Newport Beach Restaurants Help Celebrate 15th Annual Orange County Restaurant Week March 5-11

The Newport Beach Restaurant Association would normally be hosting the annual Newport Beach Restaurant Week this month , but the City Council disbanded the Restaurant Association in 2021 after 25 years of service to the city ’ s restaurants .
Newport Beach may no longer have its own Restaurant Week , but the Orange County Restaurant Week is still going strong and celebrates its 15th anniversary March 5-11 . More than two dozen Newport Beach restaurants are participating in OC Restaurant Week , which highlights more than 150 restaurants throughout Orange County that have thoughtfully crafted menus and cocktails designed to showcase Orange County ’ s diverse dining options .
Newport ’ s participating restaurants : Billy ’ s at the Beach , Cappy ’ s Café , Chihuahua Cerveza Taproom , City Cruises Anchored by Hornblower , CUCINA enoteca , Dory Deli , Farmhouse at Roger ’ s Gardens , Five Crowns , Fleming ’ s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar , Gracias Madre , Great Maple , Harborside Restaurant , Lighthouse Café , Malarky ’ s Irish Pub , Muldoon ’ s Irish Pub , Newport Landing , Olea , Cellar . Craft . Cook ., Red O Restaurant , Rockin Baja Lobster , Scratch Bakery Café , SideDoor , Stag Bar + Kitchen , Super Panga , The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove , The Bungalow Restaurant , and Woody ’ s Wharf . Diners will have an opportunity to partake in a variety of Prix-Fixe

Menus ranging from $ 15 to $ 45 . There are also theme menus that include romance-infused Date Night Menus and thoughtfully curated Luxe Menus for indulgent experiences .
Guests are invited to celebrate 15 years of OC Restaurant Week with premium wines from San Simeon , specially created Desserts , and Cocktails of Restaurant Week featuring Woodford Reserve Bourbon , Grey Goose Vodka , El Tesoro Tequila , and Licor 43 .

Restaurant Week will also highlight the opportunity to explore the OC culinary scene with focused food experiences .

Superbowl Campaign
Visit Newport Beach has always been creative when it comes to tapping into new tourism markets .
Several years ago , Visit Newport
Beach had a large truck with glass walls roam London . Inside the truck was a beach scene complete with lounge chairs and a harbor backdrop where locals could take selfies and enter to win a trip to Newport Beach .
During the pandemic , Visit Newport Beach shifted to promoting the city to drive markets : California , Nevada and Arizona .
Visit Newport Beach President and CEO Gary Sherwin told the NB Indy that “ Newport Beach more than a lot of places came out of Covid much more resilient and in better shape . Even during Covid we were able to sustain ourselves which has to do with the short-term rental industry . It ’ s a testament to Newport Beach being a drive market , and it ’ s a healthy city with a healthy lifestyle .”
While Visit Newport Beach is trying to lure visitors from the snow , it ’ s also attempting to draw tourists from warmer climates — specifically Arizona , about a six-hour drive from Newport Beach .
Scheduled to be played on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale , Ariz ., Super Bowl LVII is expected to bring more than a million people to the greater Phoenix area . Residents are said to be renting out their homes on short-term rental sites for thousands of dollars per night . Those residents will need a destination to visit in February . Why not visit Newport Beach ? According to information from Visit Newport Beach , the multi-faceted Super Bowl campaign will provide Grand Canyon State residents a glimpse of what to expect if they want to escape the football frenzy back home , from exclusive accommodation packages to weekend itineraries that include luxury Newport Beach experiences such as watch parties and special offers .
“ As one of Arizona ’ s favorite beach destinations , we ’ re thrilled to welcome residents who are already looking to get away from the gridiron in February ,” said Sherwin , an indefatigable

Running until early February , the multiphase campaign is exclusively focused on reaching travelers in Arizona ( our top out-of-state visitor market ) and inviting them to “ touch down ” in Newport Beach to “ watch from here .”
The pre-game media blitz includes digital marketing with video , targeted paid social media , display banners , radio endorsements , and billboards .
And to top it off , during the live broadcast on game day , Newport Beach will make its NFL debut with a first-ever Super Bowl commercial airing on Fox10 in Arizona .
