An iconic local event , the Newport Beach Film Festival marks a major milestone — 25 years — this fall . That ’ s a quarter century of cinematic celebration , full of film screenings , star-studded red carpet events , parties and panel discussions in this coastal city . And it ’ s not just for Hollywood insiders : Everyone ’ s invited .
If you ’ ve never attended , or maybe it ’ s been a while , grab a ticket and some popcorn to enjoy movies from features to documentaries , shorts and foreign films as well as presentations in categories from culinary to action sports and automotive . In our story , “ A Cinematic Celebration ” ( page 26 ), the festival organizers offer a sneak peek at this year ’ s offerings and reflect on the event ’ s beginnings and growth .
