The Special Education Department at the High School is having a garage sale on Friday, December 8th during the Varsity Basketball game to earn money for the V.I.P classroom.

The V.I.P. program seeks to expose students with disabilities to a variety of employment positions with the purpose of gaining entry-level work skills and career exploration opportunities. Through the V.I.P. program students receive pre-employment training, job coaching, periodic evaluations to measure progress and job placement based on the individual student's interests and abilities. The new approach is to help students develop skill sets that employers need. We believe there are positions that involve skills that our kids can do very well. Our goal is to help students become as independent as possible.
