Here's what the recipient had to say:
"Hello Sarah!
I'm not even sure where to start, honestly. I have so much to say and so much joy I am feeling inside but I'm not sure if I will be able to communicate just how blessed you and your students have made me feel! I will never be able to thank you enough! You have truly been an answer to my prayers, a real life angel to me and my boys! I was in so much shock when I walked into that room, and I still am! I have stayed up almost every night, just in shock and disbelief, and have cried so much because you have touched me so deeply! I feel I will never be able to say thank you enough, Sarah. For the first time in a long time, I can actually look forward to Christmas instead of worrying and stressing how I am going to be able to make it happen. You and your students have gone above and beyond and I just don't even know what to say except thank you from the bottom of my heart! I was so taken back by everything and then to top it off when you showed me all those gift cards....I didn't even know what to say or how to react! You have no idea how much this all means to me and my boys! I was able to buy my oldest son a new coat from Walmart that he needed, and he loves it so much! And for the first time in I can't even remember how long, I was able to take my boys out to a nice dinner! They were SO EXCITED! If you could have seen the smiles on their faces! The baby loves his new carseat so much, he is comfortable and so much happier in the car now! I just don't even know what to say and I feel I will never be able to show you just how truly grateful I am to you and your students and your family for making this a Christmas me and my family will remember for the rest of our lives! I am going to take a picture on Christmas of the kids opening their gifts and send it to you, if you don't mind. And again, I thank you so much. You were truly an answer to my prayers, and I will never be able to thank you enough and express how much you have touched my life!"
Thank you to Mrs. Sieradzki and class for making a difference and spreading JOY this holiday season! We don't help people for recognition or praise, and we know Mrs. Sieradzki didn't, but we want to share the story because it demonstrates such care for others and teamwork in the community. We would also like to thank the NBAS Transportation Department for adopting a family again this year! This marks the 15th year in a row the NBAS Transportation Department has blessed others in our community at Christmas!
