Studying for the SAT

The class of 2019 will be taking the SAT on April 10th. Now is the time to begin studying if your child has not begun already. Please remember that students can link their College Board accounts and KHAN academy easily online. Results from their PSAT 10 testing will be available and open individualized study tools directly related to your students test results. Please look at the power point and video links available on the counseling portion of the high school website for specific directions if your student is having issues linking their accounts. Please note that the high school does not have your student’s College Board account login information. This is personal information not shared with school staff members.

Field Trips

As a Reach Higher High School, we will continue to provide options of post-secondary exploration for students. Coming in the Spring we will be taking Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman on several exciting college tours and events.

Talent Tours

As part of the Lapeer College Action Network, all students are given the opportunity to explore career options at local manufacturing sites. On March 8th students have the opportunity to visit H & H Tool Inc, a family owned business in Lapeer. Students with future plans in the following careers will find useful information at this tour: Purchasing, CNC, Quality Control, Machine Maintenance, Finance, Sales and Machinist. Future tours include: Romeo Ford Proving Grounds on April 17th and Spring Dynamics on May 8th.

Please have your child stop by the counseling office for permission slips.

Dual Enrollment

When students can access their SAT scores, they can begin discussions about Dual Enrollment. If your child is considering Dual Enrollment (college class as a high school student) please have your child stop by the counseling office!
