Syringes and other medical waste is one of the biggest contributor to spreading diseases amongst both humans and animals through litter, causing it to be a huge health hazard. Trash, consumer waste and gas will contaminate and pollute our waters which can directly affect any being drinking from that water source. The soil absorbs the toxins litter creates and affects plants and crops [where] agriculture is often compromised and fails to thrive.” (Irving 2017). The polluting of our waters then directly pollutes our air when water is evaporated. The process of the water cycle takes place recycling this contaminated water back onto the ground through precipitation. This vicious cycle starts with the litter humans find themselves too lazy to properly dispose and can be ended in the same place.

Littering, without a doubt, has harmed this Earth and will continue to damage things if it keeps accumulating at such an alarming rate. The reduction of trash littered all over the world will help emit less pollutants into the environment, harm less people and animals, and help the world look as natural and beautiful as it should look. Taking the time to dispose of things properly will make a big change overtime as more and more people jump on board in efforts to save and clean our environment. Who wouldn't want to preserve the beauty we experience today for our children, grandchildren, or any generation that follows ours? This world is a beautiful place that we want to last a long time so let's keep it that way.
