Manchester attack:
Hope and unity is our
most powerful weapon
On the 22 nd May at approximately
10.30pm Manchester saw a horrific
attack at an Ariande Grande con-
cert, where adults and children
alike went out for an enjoyable
evening. Tragically, this was cut
short after an explosion occurred
inside, killing 22 and injuring at
least 50 more. Condolences go to
those involved in the incident.
Since then, our leaders have acted
in numerous ways.
The new issue of Naturally Unnatural is here! Our small
tribute to those in Manchester headlines our newsletter,
for the victims and heroes will never be forgotten. In the
wake of the events we have looked through history of the
UK’s involvement in the Middle-East and a brief look at
Ireland during the Troubles, Sinn Fein and the IRA. We
still have a general election though, we bring you sum-
maries of both Labour and Conservative manifestos, high-
light the need of a decent foundation of environmental
policy. Along with a look at protest music in recent histo-
ry after Captain Ska’s ‘Liar Liar GE2017’ has been refused
to play by most media.
Naturally Unnatural will remain a bi-weekly newsletter,
so that we can bring you well-researched articles and
provide (hopefully) a real chance to look at the bigger
picture. There will be a distinct focus on energy, environ-
ment and climate change and a historical look at issues
the UK faces today, to learn from past mistakes.

attacks on our freedoms, tolerance
and liberties designed to install fear.
We mustn't give in to that fear.
Fear and panic grip UK
government
Theresa May has since declared a
‘war on terror’ and increased the se-
curity level to maximum after ISIL
claimed the attack. Meaning the UK

Security Services are expecting an-
other attack with Amber Rudd, Home
Secretary, stating that the bomber
was not acting alone. Both statements
will not help the public in any way to
feel more secure. In fact, it will only
fuel further xenophobic and resent-
ment towards Islam as a religion. Fur-
thermore, during Theresa May’s time
as Home Secretary, the Security Ser-
vices saw £8 billion cut from their
budget.
