Larry Corio
Larry’s focus is on learning the habits of avian subjects. He
recommends watching their flight patterns as you spend time
observing them on the beach. Although shore birds are often
seen in large groups, he suggests you focus your camera
on a single bird and try to anticipate its movements. Be
aware of the sun’s glare on the water—often a cloudy day
makes for good shooting. He believes in the use of a
monopod if possible.
Linda Albus
Linda hits the nail on the head with
a piece of simple, yet often-forgotten
advice. She reminds us always to
have a camera with us. With today’s
smartphone technology there is simply
no longer any excuse to miss a good
shot. Her beautiful capture of a great
blue heron is an example of why she
keeps her camera nearby at all times.
