ev sahipliği yapacak şekilde dünya standartlarında
tasarlanmış. Salonun konsepti alanın esnekliği
üzerine kurulu. Saha 46 x 44 metrelik bir ölçüye
sahip, bu da iki hentbol sahası büyüklüğüne denk
geliyor. Salon profesyonel idman ve karşılaşmalar
için gereken tüm fasiliteleri içerisinde barındırıyor,
teleskopik ayaklar sistemiyle tasarlanan oditoryum
gündelik kullanım için transformasyonu sağladığı
gibi mekanı konserler, konferanslar ve kongreler gibi
aktivitelere de uygun hale getiriyor. Seçilmiş ahşap
ve akustik panellerden oluşan iç mekan malzemeleri
salonun atletler için geniş bir yaşama mekanı işlevi
görmesine olanak sağlıyor. Salona ve diğer fasilitelere
giriş yapının batısından, yani kamusal meydandan ve
yeraltındaki garajdan sağlanıyor.
Zamet Center, kütüphanesiyle de kentin önemli
ihtiyaçlarından birine cevap veriyor. Merkezin içinde
yer alan çeşitli ticaret ve servis alanları bölgeye
önemli bir hareketlilik unsuru katıyorlar.

The main architectural elements of the Zamet Center
are these ‘ribbons’ that strech in a north-south
direction, functioning as the primary design element
and as a zoning strategy to form a public square and
a link between the park on the north and a school to
the south.
The ribbon-like stripes were inspired by “gromaèa”,
a type of stone specific to Rijeka, which the Center
reinterprets in colour and shape at an urban scale.
These stripes are covered with 51.000 ceramic tiles
designed by 3LHD and manufactured specially for
the Center. Steel girders of 55 meters span the main
volumes at different heights to enable natural light
to enter into the sports hall. The hall contains all
the supporting facilities for professional training
and competition, and as an auditorium that can
be transformed for for everyday use for concerts,
conferences and congresses.
