provide visual variety from both inside and outside. On the north elevation, windows are filled with heavy, laminated glass that suffuses the staircase with a soft light. On the east elevation windows present on the outside as rectangular holes, while on the inside the addition of a stone moulding turns them into smallframed paintings. On this same elevation there is a two-storey-high vertical strip of glazing, which is fitted with horizontal stone slats connected to an electrically operated sunshade system such that even when the slats are open, the stone façade forms a homogeneous whole. The choice of materials and solutions displays a creative use of technology which is disguised in the overall architectural strategy.
