PEREZ
Darrah Perez is a Native of Wyoming's Wind River Indian Reservation and often writes highlighting and honoring her tribal spirituality and Native American community. She is also the author of four books: “It Always Happens," “It Never Happened,” "It's Forever Happening," and “The Perfect Eclipse: Out with the Bad, In with the Good.”
From Darrah:
I started writing young when I knew I could hold a pen between my fingers and guide it across paper, creating powerful words. I read books that took me on adventures across distant lands. I held a high respect for the creators of the stories I read. I knew inside that I wanted to be just like them.
As I got older, I learned the art of poetry and the heartfelt feelings that went into the creation of each poem written. I felt poetry’s words with my entire being, and it was then, I knew my own stories could be told through not only my mind, but, my heart and soul as well.
