Eli Murphy
Eli Murphy is a dedicated and experienced individual with a strong passion for Tennessee Walking horses and the sport of showing . Having been involved in the industry for most of his life , he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from various aspects of showing .
Being selected as a judge for The National for the second consecutive year , Murphy feels honored and knows it ’ s a privilege to have this opportunity once again . He recognizes the challenges that come with judging and is evident that he takes his role seriously , aiming to adhere to the rule book and expectations set by NWHA .
Murphy ’ s judging experience extends beyond The National , as he has covered shows in multiple states , including
California , Wisconsin , Kentucky , Ohio , South Carolina , Tennessee , and Indiana . His dedication to judging fairly and not overlooking any horse or rider , regardless of their talent level , reflects his commitment to maintaining integrity and respect in the sport .
“ Everyone that enters the ring deserves the respect to be judged fairly ,” Murphy said . “ When you walk out of the ring start worrying about your next class and how to improve , not the last one . But most importantly don ’ t forget to Enjoy the ride .”

A lifelong Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast , Dee Dee Miller

Bacon brings a wealth of knowledge to the 2023 NWHA Championship Horse Show . Her love affair with this smooth gaited and versatile breed began as a toddler , riding with her father on the historic trails of Central Kentucky . From that early age , Tennessee Walking Horses , in all the breed ’ s many facets , have been her passion .
From learning the basics on the historic Wilderness Trail of Kentucky , Dee Dee soon began competing with her horses locally and through 4-H competitions and quickly progressed to state and national levels at open shows . She is a world class equestrian in her own
NWHA National Show Program | September 2023 right , and horses under her guidance have been awarded International and World Championship titles within the industry .
As a competitor , Dee Dee has successfully shown horses in all divisions , including rail , versatility , equitation , halter , conformation , and under harness . As a judge , she has officiated in many of the Tennessee Walking Horse industry ’ s championship events , including : NWHA National Championships , WHOA International Championships , Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration , TWHBEA World Versatility Championships , the European Championships , SSHBEA Fall Championship , and the Germantown Charity Horse Show .
